How we operate

Architectsforurbanity operates from Alimos Marina in Athens, the single departure and return point for every charter we run. From this base we cover the Saronic Gulf and the Cyclades, choosing routes to suit the group, the weather window and the number of days booked.

A booking starts with an enquiry about dates, guest numbers and whether you want a skipper and crew or a bareboat charter. We confirm yacht availability, crew assignment and route within one working day, then send a written quote in EUR with the deposit and balance schedule.

We plan provisioning, fuel and mooring arrangements ourselves rather than passing the booking to a brokerage. The person who answers your enquiry is the same team that briefs the skipper and checks the yacht before you board.

From enquiry to departure

Deposit and booking confirmation

Once you accept a quote we take a 30% deposit to hold the yacht and dates, and send written confirmation naming the yacht, crew and route.

Balance due before departure

The remaining balance is due 14 days before departure, settled in EUR by bank transfer to the account confirmed with your booking.

Pre-departure safety check

Before every departure the skipper checks lifejackets, flares, bilge pumps and engine systems, then briefs guests on board before casting off.

Crew and route briefing

We confirm the day's route and crew assignment on the morning of departure, adjusting for wind and sea state across the Saronic Gulf and Cyclades.
