Cost structure
The charter fee you see on a quote covers the yacht itself — hull, engine, standard safety gear and sails or deck equipment — plus the home berth at Alimos Marina for departure and return. On skippered and crewed charters it includes one skipper; where the yacht or itinerary calls for additional hosting or deck crew, that is quoted separately and confirmed before the deposit is taken.
Fuel is metered and charged at cost for what the engine actually burns during your itinerary, not a flat rate. A day sail around the Saronic Gulf typically uses far less than a week crossing to the Cyclades. We settle fuel against the tank reading at departure and return, so you only pay for what the yacht consumes on your route.
Food, drink, port fees away from the home berth, and any guest-requested provisioning are covered by the Advance Provisioning Allowance, collected before departure and reconciled against receipts at the end of the charter. Any balance left unspent is returned to you; any shortfall is invoiced before you disembark.
All prices we quote, including the base charter fee, are inclusive of VAT at the applicable Greek rate. There is no VAT added at checkout, on the deposit invoice, or on the final balance.
What is included and what costs extra
The same split applies whether you charter crewed or bareboat, unless noted.
| Included in the base price | Charged separately |
|---|---|
| Yacht and standard equipment | Fuel consumed during the charter |
| Mooring at Alimos Marina (home berth) | Advance Provisioning Allowance, typically 30-35% of the charter fee |
| One skipper on skippered and crewed charters | Additional hosting or deck crew beyond the standard complement |
| Standard safety and deck equipment | Extra water toys and equipment beyond the standard inventory |
Deposits and payment terms
How much deposit is due when I book, and in what currency?
We ask for a 30% deposit to confirm your charter, invoiced and paid in EUR at the time of booking. The deposit secures the yacht, crew and dates against our calendar.
When do I need to pay the balance before departure?
The remaining balance is due 14 days before departure, also invoiced in EUR. If you book inside that 14-day window, the full amount is payable at the time of booking.
What payment methods can I use?
Both the deposit and balance are settled by bank transfer in EUR to our Athens account. We can also take card payment for the deposit on request; the balance is bank transfer only.
What happens to my deposit if I need to cancel?
Cancel more than 30 days before departure and we refund the deposit in full. Cancel within 30 days and the deposit is forfeited, since by then crew, provisioning and route planning are already committed; cancellations made within the 72-hour booking window are non-refundable in any case.
